About Erskine

Erskine is a town in Renfrewshire, and situated in the West Central Lowlands of Scotland. South of the River Clyde, this has the lowest crossing to the north at the Erskine Bridge, connecting the town to Old Kilpatrick. Erskine is a commuter town west of Glasgow, bordering Bishopton and close to Inchinnan, Paisley and Renfrew. Erskine has developed from a small village to a residential town, with bus links to the surrounding areas and beyond.

The town is home to Boden Boo, woodland beneath the Erskine Bridge with two miles of trail and the famous Erskine Beach. The scenic area is also home to a salt marsh named Newshot Island Nature Reserve, Lamont farm and two golf courses.

Erskine is home to five primary schools and Pandamonium play centre, as well as Mar Hall five star hotel and various shops and cafes. The Erskine Care Homes are situated on the Clyde, providing medical care to veterans and is the biggest ex-services centre in the country.
